Photography by Elise Kutt

A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I spent much of my 20’s in a frantic search for adventure as a Chicago location scout and producer for advertising, catalog and film shoots. I've ridden a camel across the Sahara, swam in a cage surrounded by sharks, and scouted for the perfect hot tub to fill with hot chocolate and marshmallows. I’m addicted to green juice, dying my hair, everything vintage, and the smell of new school supplies. I've spent years studying posing specific to the female body of every shape and size. I will coach you through every pose and movement like a boss and never leave you hanging!
In a society that puts a camera in every hand but is quick to shame the selfie, my mission is to create a safe and
supportive environment for female self expression. Empowering ALL women through photography is why what I do is so unique and special. It’s about so much more than a simple portrait, it’s about self awareness and self love. Join me in a movement to #existinphotos.

Hair and Makeup by Jennifer Bartlett

With music and fashion the pinnacle of Jennifer's inspiration, her art in makeup and hair continuously evolves with time. Ranging from cutting edge, modern styles to the classic vision of true femininity, she aspires to reach every dynamic possible to offer a vision unique to each look.

It all began in middle school when Jennifer’s desire to stand out from the crowd drove her to find her creativity in the world of beauty. Amongst her time on stage and behind the camera from childhood and through college, she developed her craft in makeup and hairstyling and received her cosmetology license in 2009. These days, she spends her time not only in the salon but also traveling around the state to enhance the beauty of her clients. She has a feverish desire to share her passion of music with her band and in her spare time, you can usually find her drooling over popcorn and puppies or writing music with her husband.

Jennifer loves social media! Feel free to follow along and send her some love!

Accidental shoot with Jennifer Bartlett of Fine Fine Titans and Mod B

Sometimes in between wardrobe changes we take a moment to experiment with light when pure magic happens. I photographed through a prism to create these swanky effects in camera and I'm super stoked about it.

Did I mention our hair and makeup artist is also a superhero?

Valentine's Day! What are you doing for your loved one?

Out with the Old and in with the New... Year

Our first family portrait. What was I thinking? No seriously, what the hell was I thinking? I thought it would be a piece of cake to take our own. I’d just set up the tripod and use a remote, we’d be in and out in 30 minutes. Well, we were definitely out in 30 minutes with Tuck and I both in tears. He was teething and having a meltdown and I was devastated that we didn’t get ONE decent photo of our family. I couldn’t believe how upset it was making me either. But time out. Of course our 11 month old wasn’t going to smile and sit pretty for some contraption on a stick! Again, what the hell was I thinking? Why was this bothering me so much? I was so busy planning other people’s shoots and just didn’t think this one through. Borrowed a dress from a client I photographed the day before, hit up Target that morning for Tuck’s outfit, and made Mr. Bettie’s out of things we found in his closet. Jennifer came over early to doll me up, which was such an incredible feeling since most days I spend obsessing about losing baby weight instead of focusing on how amazing my body is after creating a human being. That’s it. That must be why I was so emotional about the whole damn thing. Most of our photos since Tuck was born are of him and his daddy. I wasn’t ready to be in front of the camera. But this day I finally felt well enough, and Tuck did not get the memo. I’m a photographer, we are supposed to have the best family photo around. I can’t fail at this! It took a few days for me to finally go through the images and when I did we had more laughs than I expected and got more than just ONE that I loved. I realized I had completely missed the point of the whole experience. Our photo didn’t have to be perfect it just had to be us. Something we could look back on when we are old and grey. That’s ALL it’s about. A memory. Next year I’ll plan better, perhaps even hire someone! But for now, even if they aren't perfect, this is what we looked like in 2015…

Anna and Ava's Mom and Me Shoot

Jesselyn

When wedding photographer Jesselyn came to me last month she wanted headshots, but a more glamorous version where she could show off her personality and style! She has more energy than anyone I know, and that's saying something because I can be quite energetic behind the camera :)

She's a total BOSS.

Santa is Coming.

Auf Wiedersehen!

Meet Carra. She came to our studio last week while in town staying with family and we hit it off right away. In fact, there were more times than one where I found myself saying, "Did we just become best friends?!" :) A recent graduate from MSU's Journalism program this beauty is making a BIG move to Germany this week and we wish her the best of luck in her adventures! We hope you had an amazing night out with friends after our session because one thing is for sure, you looked FAB!
