A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I spent much of my 20’s in a frantic search for adventure as a Chicago location scout and producer for advertising, catalog and film shoots. I've ridden a camel across the Sahara, swam in a cage surrounded by sharks, and scouted for the perfect hot tub to fill with hot chocolate and marshmallows. I’m addicted to green juice, dying my hair, everything vintage, and the smell of new school supplies. I've spent years studying posing specific to the female body of every shape and size. I will coach you through every pose and movement like a boss and never leave you hanging!
In a society that puts a camera in every hand but is quick to shame the selfie, my mission is to create a safe and supportive environment for female self expression. Empowering ALL women through photography is why what I do is so unique and special. It’s about so much more than a simple portrait, it’s about self-awareness and self-love. Kenzie Brooke (Photographer, Executive Assistant)
Hailing from the bluegrass state with the astrological confusion of a Capricorn-Gemini-Gemini, Kenzie embarked on a journey of self-discovery in the eclectic landscape of West Michigan. Armed with a business administration degree, she danced through various professions, from hair and makeup artistry to fashion and interior design, and even tried her hand at the fine art of spray tanning. However, it was through the world of Tumblr (eeek!) that she stumbled upon her calling of photography.
As the multifaceted photographer and executive assistant of the Bettie Spaces, Kenzie wears many hats with finesse. Managing the boutique, curating Naughty Bettie's exquisite collection, and crafting captivating social media narratives are just a few facets of her dynamic role. She's the behind-the-scenes architect, ensuring that everything runs smoother than a well-groomed mustache.
With a style that's been described as a "70's porno vibe," and a love for a good 'stache, our gal has a unique aesthetic that sets her apart. But what really sets her apart is her passion for finding the "slayyyy" in everyone that steps in front of her camera or in the boutique.

Meet Kimberly Brown, a proud, fiery Aries and an astrology aficionado. And yes, as an Aries she's been told to use her inside voice growing up. She loves to expand her amazing community through meeting wonderful and like-minded people who share contagious laughs and cool ideas. She loves to see the best in people, and that's what started her photography journey.
Three years ago, she bought a camera and got straight to work, making the lens an extension of herself. Her supportive friend volunteered for her first photo session ever! They did a boudoir shoot, and that was when Kimberly realized her passion for showcasing the radiant beauty her clients already have inside them. She lives to capture the beauty that shines through her clients. You're safe with her as she's a woman's woman - our bodies are literal art, and Kimberly is so glad to have found a community with Mod Bettie to capture that! Marian Ward King (Bra Slinger, #SquadBettie Icon)
Marian, the enchanting force at Naughty Bettie, is a true maven of multifaceted pursuits. By day, she is the unparalleled Bra Slinger. As the sun sets, she seamlessly transforms into a Burlesque Diva, gracing the stage with a captivating blend of sass and glamour that leaves audiences spellbound.
Adding to her repertoire, Marian is also a skilled Dog Groomer, bringing her passion for nurturing and caring for animals to the grooming table. Through her skilled hands and compassionate touch, she transforms each grooming session into a pampering experience, ensuring that pets not only look fabulous but feel cherished.
Marian's journey extends beyond the confines of Naughty Bettie, as she has become a beacon of self-expression and confidence. With an innate ability to connect with individuals seeking their perfect fit, both in lingerie and in life, Marian goes beyond being a Bra Slinger — she is a mentor, guiding clients on a transformative journey towards embracing their true selves.
But that's not all—Marian is a Selfie Extraordinaire, elevating the art of capturing the perfect moment to new heights. Not content with merely helping you find your ideal bra, Marian imparts her wisdom on the intricacies of the perfect selfie. Through her lens, she captures not just images, but moments of empowerment and self-love.
Jennifer Bartlett (Hair and Makeup Artist)
As a native of Metro Detroit, Jennifer spent her life immersed in a vast array of music and art which helped shape her love for deep connection through daydreaming, creation, and expression. By tuning into her passions, she excelled at multiple crafting and musical forms throughout her teen years.
In 2007, after four years split between Oakland University and Western Michigan University, Jennifer left academia to return to her roots in creative arts through the beauty and entertainment industries. Her desire for visual expression, community, and collaboration led to a self-employed career in cosmetology, where she specialized in creative hair color, fashion, and cinematic makeup application. Her obsession with music videos propelled her into the realm of cinematography and theatrics only aiding her work as a creative, a writer, a musician, and a storyteller.
Today, she continues her quest to cultivate understanding, empathy, and connection through the arts. Jennifer balances her work at Mod Bettie, in her salon chair, and in musical adventures with her band, Lokella. She then retreats to her home in the woods just north of the city to ground herself with writing and nature, surrounded by her beloved pack of dogs and her lifetime-collaborator.

Hey, I'm Michelle Krick. My expertise in style and fashion trends comes from 35+ years in the retail industry. My passion for the ever-changing world of fashion trends and business is what inspired me to pursue a career in retail. But the fulfillment of helping a customer look beautiful and feel confident in a new outfit put together by me is what inspired me to pursue my own career as a stylist. Eventually, I merged my two passions — fashion and skilled business strategy — to bring the reality of successful business ownership to others.
What’s it like to work with me? I have an appetite for life! I am high-energy, passionate, and fun! I believe in putting 110% into everything I do which is reflected in both my personal and professional lives. Whether I’m playing competitive tennis or traveling and hiking with my husband and our dogs, I love living an active lifestyle. Travel is my passion, and I love discovering new places, meeting people, learning about new cultures, and exploring the food and wine of the area. I also love creating jewelry and products inspired by paper, reading, and shopping.
